The Campus Pantry is partnering with the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona to become a ‘The Emergency Food Assistance Program’ (TEFAP) site! For the Spring 2025 semester, the first Tuesday distribution of the month will be a TEFAP distribution.
Wildcats will need to register while picking up their first box of food by supplying proof of currently living in Arizona and complete a self-declaration income form.
Distribution Dates:
- December 10, 2024: Pilot Distribution & Registration Day 3-5pm
- January 21, 2025 3-5pm
- February 4, 2025 3-5pm
- March 4, 2025 3-5pm
- April 1, 2025 3-5pm
- May 6, 2025 3-5pm
- June 3, 2025 3-5pm
The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) is a Federal program that helps supplement the diets of low-income individuals, by providing them with emergency food assistance at no cost.
Anyone who resides in Arizona (does not have to be a resident) and meets the income standards below:

Eligible individuals can pick up food one time per month!
The Pantry will be hosting TEFAP distribution once per month, if you cannot attend, you can visit any TEFAP distribution in Tucson.
Individuals can provide any of the following as a form of proof of living in Arizona to pick up their food box:
- Rent Agreement with address
- Utility Statement with address
- Driver's License with current address
- Financial Statement/ Credit Card statement with address
Individuals can provide any of the following as a form of valid ID to pick up their food box:
- University ID (CatCard)
- Drivers License
- Passport
- State ID
Individuals are eligible if they make BELOW the follow rates.

When you register for the first time, you will be shown the above chart and will have to state/check a box that you make below the listed amount.
Do I have to bring documentation with my income?
No, it is only self- declared.
This is a separate program from Campus Pantry Distribution!
Picking up this box WILL NOT count as one of your 2 weekly visits.
Boxes vary each month, but standard items include: produce, rice, grains, frozen items, canned meats etc
No, the program is based upon Arizona residency alone and anyone who is an Arizona resident may apply.
The Arizona Department of Economic Security retain this information through a secure online platform.
No, the boxes come prepackaged and cannot be modified for order.
There will be an exchange table outside of the Campus Pantry for individuals who would like to trade items with each other.
Yes! You only need proof that you are currently living in AZ and any photo ID.
